Ann Arbor Alumni Pep Band Invites New Players
The Ann Arbor Alumni Pep Band (AAAPB) continues its 20th season, and you are invited to join the fun. The group substitutes for the student hockey and basketball bands when they are unable to perform.. The AAAPB enters its busiest time of the year in late November.
While AAAPB members are highly encouraged to attend all rehearsals, there is no requirement to play at all of the game performances. The group has over 100 alums who participate over the course of a season, with usually between 40-60 players at each gig. Rehearsals are held at Revelli Hall and are about an hour long.

Please note that specific meeting times and locations will be announced at the rehearsals with reminders forwarded by email prior to the event. In general, plan to be at the game venue no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of the game.
Other Information
· You must be a current dues paying member of The University of Michigan Band Alumni Association (UMBAA) to be eligible to participate. Check umbaa.org for membership information.
· If you don’t already have an APB flip folder, Pete will have them at the rehearsal on October 25. Please arrive a little early to pick one up. You can plan to keep your folder for the season.
· We will be getting new uniform polo shirts this year. Pete should have them by the first rehearsal. Come a little early or plan to stay a little late to pick up your new shirt. Shirts are provided at no cost to you. Sorry ladies, these shirts were available in the men’s cut only.
· If you would like to borrow an MMB instrument, please let me know so Pete can make arrangements. If you currently have a borrowed instrument, please remind him.
· We are always looking for additional members for the group. Please let Pete know if you know other band alumni that would like to participate.
· Pete will continue to use an email group list through umich to communicate with the group. You’ll want to make sure that you don’t have any anti spam software that would block the group list.
