Welcome to the University of Michigan Band Alumni Association website. The UMBAA was formed to provide service and support to the Band Alumni abroad since 1950. In 1985 UMBAA was incorporated as a domestic, non-profit organization. As the times change the UMBAA must work to keep up with new technology and trends which has led to the development of the new UMBAA website. The initial goal of the website is to help provide its services and support in a efficient and timely manner. As the world wide web evolves so too will our site, which will serve as a tool to help our beloved Michigan Bands stay connected.

UMBAA membership categories:

Regular Member: Any individual who has been a student member of any of the University of Michigan Bands and who supports the purposes and goals of the University of Michigan Band Alumni Association. 

Regular Member in Good Standing: A Regular member who has paid all required dues.  A Member in Good Standing is allowed to participate in any UMBAA reunion activity, pep band or Concert Band and is allowed one vote at UMBAA General Membership Meetings.

Life Member: A Member in Good Standing who has made a one time dues payment equal to twenty times the annual dues at the time of application.

Honorary Member: Honorary Membership is awarded to an individual not eligible for regular membership in recognition of outstanding service to the University of Michigan Band and/or the University of Michigan Band Alumni Association.
